HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was robbed and struck with a vehicle at a Harris County property and is seeking damages from the property's owners and security provider.

Sze Dorothy Chan filed a complaint on June 4 in the Harris County District Court against IMT Pavilion II LP, IMT Pavilion III LP and John Doe security company alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 17, 2017, she was injured while at the parking lot of the IMT defendants' premises when an assailant robbed her then struck her with a vehicle and dragged her some distance. The suit states John Doe security company was responsible for security at the property at the time of the incident.

The plaintiff holds IMT Pavilion II LP, IMT Pavilion III LP and John Doe security company responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make the premises reasonably safe and failed to keep the parking lot visible during night hours.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of no more than $75,000 and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by M. Paul Skrabanek and Betty Feng of Pierce Skrabanek PLLC in Houston.
