HOUSTON – A Louisiana man alleges he was injured twice in two days while working aboard a vessel because its owners failed to keep it in a reasonable state of repair.

Reynard Navarre filed a complaint on June 12 in the Harris County District Court against Rec Marine Logistics LLC and Rec Boats LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between May 5 and 6, he was injured twice when he slipped and fell while performing his duties aboard defendants' Jacob Gerald vessel. He alleges he suffered injuries to his body that resulted in mental anguish, lost earnings, physical impairment, medical expenses and lost earnings.

The plaintiff holds Rec Marine Logistics LLC and Rec Boats LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide proper and adequate equipment and failed to take reasonable precautions for the safety of the crew.

The plaintiff requests seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Marcus R. Spagnoletti of Spagnoletti & Co. in Houston.
