Woman seeks more than $200,000 from Lakecrest Townhome Association over fall

HOUSTON – A guest at a Houston property alleges she was injured in fall caused by a wooden beam.

Karabet Balyan filed a complaint on June 13 in the Harris County District Court against Lakecrest Townhome Association, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 30, 2016, she was injured when she tripped and fell over a wooden beam while walking at defendants' premises. She alleges she suffered serious injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and lost wages. 

The plaintiff holds Lakecrest Townhome Association, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to correct the condition or to warn plaintiff about it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Kevin Adley and Gilbert Garza of Adley Law Firm LTD LLP in Houston.
