HOUSTON – A man alleges he was injured while working when a forklift operator struck pipes and caused them to fall on him.

James Wright filed a complaint on June 14 in the Harris County District Court against ELG Metals Inc. and Greater Texas Metal Recycling Co. Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 17, 2016, he was injured while employed by Greater Texas when defendant ELG's employee struck pipes with a forklift and caused the pipes to fall onto plaintiff. He alleges he sustained injuries to his right lower leg and ankle as a result.

The plaintiff holds ELG Metals Inc. and Greater Texas Metal Recycling Co. Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to keep the forklift in good working order and failed to provide proper training and supervision to the forklift operator.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $250,000 and such other lawful and equitable releif. He is represented by Christopher Soileau of The Soileau Law Firm PC in Deer Park, Texas.
