GALVESTON – A Galveston County man alleges damaged to a boat he purchased was not initially disclosed to him.

Brad Louden filed a complaint on June 22 in the Galveston County District Court against Louis J. Davis alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in December 2017, plaintiff purchased a 2013 Hurricane FD 226 Deck Boat with a Yamaha 200 engine and trailer from defendant for $20,000. The suit states that the boat previously had been flooded and the engine submerged in the water and this information was concealed by the defendant. As a result of defendant's concealment, the plaintiff alleges he paid $9,570.62 for engine repair.

The plaintiff holds Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly breached his contractual obligations by failing to provide a motor in good operating condition.

The plaintiff seeks damages of less than $100,000 and such other and further relief. He is represented by Samuel W. Veenstra of The Veenstra Law Firm PLLC in League City.
