HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured at the Typhoon Texas waterpark when a raft she was in struck a retention wall.

Romni Cain filed a complaint on June 22 in the Harris County District Court against WP Ventures LLC, doing business as Typhoon Texas, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 7, 2016, she was injured while riding the Monster Storm attraction at the defendants' waterpark in Katy when the raft she was in slammed into a retention wall.

The plaintiff holds WP Ventures LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide proper assistance and training, failed to provide cautions and warnings and failed to maintain the water slide in a safe and reasonable manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of no less than $75,000, plus interest, costs, attorney's fees and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
