Dry Clean Planet employee alleges company failed to repair machine that injured her

HOUSTON – An employee of a Spring dry cleaners alleges she was injured while working because of faulty equipment.

Nereyda Garcia filed a complaint on June 22 in the Harris County District Court against TP Pham Inc., doing business as Dry Clean Planet No. 4, and Thao N. Pham alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 22, 2016, she was injured while working for defendant at the Dry Clean Planet No. 4 when the pants press machine panel came down upon her head and arm. She alleges the machine had a history of problems but the defendants refused to repair or change it.

The plaintiff holds TP Pham Inc., doing business as Dry Clean Planet No. 4, and Pham responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain a reasonable level of maintenance on its equipment.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief between $10,000 and $200,000 and such other and further relief as she may show herself justly entitled. She is represented by Thomas A. Laucius of Laucius & Associates in Houston.
