GALVESTON – A Jefferson County resident alleges she was injured at a La Marque apartment complex in a fall caused by a pothole.

Trudi Mills filed a complaint on June 28 in the Galveston County District Court against G Breeze Apartments LLC alleging breach of duty.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 23, 2017, she was a tenant at the defendant's apartment complex and was injured when she stepped into a pothole and fell.

She alleges she sustained severe, permanent and disabling injuries resulting in medical care and expenses, pain, mental anguish, disfigurement and loss of earnings as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds G Breeze Apartments LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the apartment's premises in a reasonably safe manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Dan Ducote Jr. of Moore Landrey LLP in Beaumont.
