HOUSTON – A Houston County woman alleges the tip of her finger was cut off at a Webster property by a door.

Cindy Bjornson filed a complaint on July 5 in the Harris County District Court against Third Prince LLC and Union Tavern alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 6, 2016, she was injured at defendants' Union Tavern's premises in Webster when the automatic closing door suddenly closed and cut off the tip of her finger. She alleges she incurred medical expenses of approximately $65,160.92 as a result of the incident.

The plaintiff holds Third Prince LLC and Union Tavern responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to install a properly operating door and failed to calibrate the door to prevent it from suddenly closing.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million. She is represented by Scot G. Dollinger of Dollinger Law Firm in Houston.
