Centerline Contracting alleged to have failed to perform work on grocery project

HOUSTON – A Harris County contractor is alleged to have failed to perform any work on a project it was paid in full to complete.

Katie Jo Mercer filed a complaint on July 16 in the Harris County District Court against Centerline Contracting LLC and Christopher Klesch alleging violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 31, 2016, defendant agreed to build plaintiff's small grocery in consideration for an agreed-upon sum. She alleges she paid the defendants in full but they have failed to perform any work.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Matthew Chappell of Matthew Chappell, Attorney at Law PLLC in Houston.
