MARSHALL – A Kaufman County woman has brought a slip and fall lawsuit against a Nashville, Tenn.-based janitorial service contractor for injuries she purportedly sustained last year at an East Texas shopping center.

Jessica Tally’s lawsuit against Service Management Services, Inc. says the plaintiff on Dec. 29, 2017 “slipped and fell due to water that had accumulated on the bathroom floor” at Broadway Square Mall in Tyler.

Court documents filed on July 24 in Marshall federal court assert the defendant has a contractual relationship with the mall and “was responsible for maintaining the floors in the common areas of the mall, including the bathrooms.”

Consequently, Tally seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Luke Bickham of Dallas.
