MARSHALL – A Harrison County resident alleges a tractor-trailer driver failed to control his speed and caused a collision in Bowie County.

Steven P. Wahlstrom filed a complaint on July 25 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Ahmed A. Ahmed and B & A Carrier LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 27, he was driving an F-150 pick-up truck on Interstate 30 in Bowie County when defendant Ahmed, who was driving a tractor-trailer, struck the rear of his truck. The suit states the tractor Ahmed was driving was owned by B & A and that Ahmed was cited for failing to control his speed.

The plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, loss of earnings and mental anguish as a result of the collision.

The plaintiff holds Ahmed and B & A Carrier LLC responsible because defendant Ahmed failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep safe distance and failed to reduce speed.

The plaintiff and seeks compensatory damages, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, costs of court and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Josh B. Maness in Waskom and Zehl & Associates in Houston.
