HOUSTON – A guest at a Houston restaurant alleges liquid on the floor caused him to fall.
Gregg Hawkins filed a complaint on July 25 in the Harris County District Court against Sam's Boat Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 18, he was an invitee at defendant's Gulf Coast Kitchen and Sports Bar when he slipped and fell on liquid on the floor. He alleges he sustained serious injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, physical impairment and disfigurement and lost wages.
The plaintiff holds Sam's Boat Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the dangerous condition and failed to provide warning signs indicating that the floor was wet.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by John Arthur Daspit and Swetha Sajja of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
