HOUSTON – A medical facility in northeast Harris County faces a personal injury lawsuit from one of its employees, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

Latorya Clincy brought the suit against KPH Consolidation, Inc., doing business as Kingwood Medical Center, on Aug. 2 in the Harris County 234th District Court.

Clincy explains that she was at work on Nov. 21, 2017 “when a heavy metal bar fell and hit her” as she was walking through a door. The plaintiff reportedly suffered “injuries to several parts of her body.”

Her employer “knew or should have known about the dangerous condition on the premises,” the original petition says.

Consequently, Clincy seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Sofia E. Bruera of the Bruera Law Firm, PLLC in Houston is representing the complainant.
