SHERMAN – Three Grayson County residents allege they were terminated because of their gender from an agricultural credit association.
Kathryn Crockett, Malissia Hysmith and Sandra Ulmer filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Lone Star ACA, doing business as Lone Star FLCA, and Lone Star Ag Credit alleging unlawful employment practices.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug. 11, 2017, they were discharged from their employment with the defendants despite never receiving disciplinary actions or reprimands. The suit states the plaintiffs' discharge was allegedly attributed to an investigation into loans that originated at the Sherman office but they allege the allegations are false.
The plaintiffs hold Lone Star ACA and Lone Star Ag Credit responsible because the defendants allegedly discriminated against them and terminated them based on their gender.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in an amount within the jurisdictional limits of the court, with interest, reinstatement, attorney’s fees, costs and all further relief to which they may show themselves justly entitled. They are represented by Ronald R. Huff in Sherman.
