HOUSTON – A Montgomery County man alleges that he was in a coma for a month because of injuries sustained while installing cabinetry.

Gilberto Martinez filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the Harris County District Court against Aaron T. Carlin, Carlin's Custom Cabinetry and William Carlton alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 1, he was at Carlton's home in Spring installing custom cabinetry when he became pinned by the cabinetry. He alleges he suffered severe injuries, including an intracranial hemorrhage, and was in a coma for one month.

The suit states the plaintiff was hired by Carlin's to install the cabinetry.

The plaintiff holds Carlin, Carlin's Custom Cabinetry and Carlton responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly warn and instruct him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages, with interest, costs and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by J. Moises Cedillos of Cedillos Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
