HOUSTON – A Polk County man’s state district lawsuit says he was injured last month at a jobsite in The Woodlands, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Robert Blackwell blames Accessible Buildings, Co., Inc. for his fall from a 20-ft. tall ladder on July 4.

Court papers filed on Aug. 15 in the Harris County 189th District Court state that Blackwell was on the ladder that was being supported by other co-workers. As he descended, the original petition says, his co-workers “without warning stopped supporting the ladder” and caused him to fall almost 20 feet.

Blackwell reportedly sustained injuries to his hand, back, and knees.

He blames the defendant for not providing him personal protective equipment.

Consequently, Blackwell seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

A Clement Wehner of the Daspit Law Firm in Houston is representing the plaintiff.
