HOUSTON – The employee of a repossession company is alleged to have assaulted a Harris County man while he was retrieving items from his vehicle.

Manuel Aleman filed a complaint on Aug. 13 in the Harris County District Court against Connect One LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 9, 2017, defendant's employees came to his property to repossess his vehicle. He alleges he was attempting to remove his personal property from the vehicle when one of the defendant's employees assaulted him, causing injuries to his back.

The plaintiff holds Connect One LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to control its employees and negligently hired and supervised them.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and all other relief to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by M. Paul Skrabanek and Betty Feng of Pierce Skrabanek PLLC in Houston.
