HOUSTON – A Houston-based company is alleged to have failed to honor an agreement with a College Station resident.

Thor Eckmann filed a complaint on Aug. 15 in the Harris County District Court against Aly Energy Services Inc. alleging breach of contract, common law fraud and negligent misrepresentation.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 31, 2015, defendant entered into a waiver and release agreement with plaintiff entitling him to receive monthly installments for a base salary for 12 months at the annual salary of $214,000. On Feb. 28, 2016, he alleges he was notified by defendant in a letter that the terms of payment would no longer be honored.

The plaintiff holds Aly Energy Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to reinstate payment as requested and failed to provide a timeline and any specifics as to when payments would resume.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he is entitled at law or in equity. He is represented by Bruce A. Coplen of Coplen & Banks PC in Houston.
