HOUSTON – A former security officer alleges he was not properly compensated for overtime work by his employers.

Dameion Stradford filed a complaint on Aug. 14 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Nationwide Investigations & Security Inc. and Allen Hollimon alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during his employment with the defendants as a security officer from Feb. 1, 2016, to March 6, 2018, he did not receive overtime premiums for all work performed worked over 40 hours in each workweek.

The plaintiff holds Nationwide Investigations & Security Inc. and Hollimon responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the required overtime premium for hours worked over 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to recover unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, costs, attorney’s fees and such further relief as the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by Josef F. Buenker, Thomas H. Padgett Jr. and Vijay Pattisapu of The Buenker Law Firm in Houston.
