SAN ANTONIO - An automobile collision lawsuit seeking more than $1 million in damages has been brought against Martin Transportation Systems.

Alleging negligence, Bryan Cooper filed the suit April 19 in Bexar County District Court, also naming Floyd Cunningham as a defendant.

According to the lawsuit, on March 15 Cooper was traveling in Bexar County when Cunningham, who was in the course and scope of his employment with Martin Transport at the time, allegedly failed to pay attention to the roadway, changed lanes when unsafe, and crashed into him.

“Following the crash, the Texas Department of Public Safety conducted an investigation and found Defendant FLOYD CUNNINGHAM to be the sole cause of the crash,” the suit states.

“The investigating officer subsequently issued a citation to Defendant FLOYD CUNNINGHAM for changing lanes when unsafe. As a result of Defendants’ negligence, Plaintiff is seriously and permanently injured.”

Cooper is represented by attorney Cody Dishon of The Ferguson Law Firm and attorney Paul Fukuda of the Fukuda Law Firm.
