SHERMAN – A local country club and its management company face legal action from two women alleging sexual harassment.

Baleigh Hudman and Matraca Polonchak filed a lawsuit against Stone Creek Country Club, Inc., doing business as Stone Creek Golf Club, and Century Golf Partners GP, LLC in Sherman federal court on Aug. 23. Century Golf manages Stone Creek.

Hudman and Polonchak, who work as servers, explain that they were subjected to “severe and pervasive” sexual harassment by one of the defendants’ employees.” They accuse the employee of “sexually inappropriate touches, constant verbal statements, gestures, and sexual propositions.”

Court papers further claim that the worker “not only sexually harassed the younger female employees, but he would also harass and lurk around the high-school girls that came to play and practice at Stone Creek.”

The respondents allegedly turned a blind eye to the employee’s actions while retaliating against the plaintiffs for reporting the harassment in question.

Consequently, the women seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Their lead counsel is Robert “Bobby” Lee of the law firm Lee & Braziel, LLP in Dallas.
