Trophy

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.

Bradley is pleased to announce that Joseph R. Anderson and Katie Harrington have joined the firm’s Houston office as associates in the Construction and Government Contracts Practice Group.

Mr. Anderson and Ms. Harrington are the fourth and fifth attorneys to join Bradley’s Houston office in the last month: partners Jeffrey Davis and Peter Scaff, who co-chair Bradley’s Oil and Gas Law team, and Mary Elizondo Frazier, who serves on the firm’s Texas Growth and Expansion Task Force, joined the firm in July.

“We welcome Joseph and Katie to the firm in Houston,” said Bradley Houston Office Managing Partner Ian P. Faria. “Joseph and Katie are important additions to our office, which is experiencing significant, strategic growth that only enhances the breadth and depth of services we can provide to our clients throughout Texas.”

A member of Bradley’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group, Mr. Anderson focuses his practice primarily on construction and financial services litigation. He has represented clients in matters involving construction, banking, financial services, real estate and energy-related disputes.

Previously, Mr. Anderson was an attorney with Hirsch & Westheimer, P.C., in Houston. During law school, he interned for Judge Tad Halbach, formerly the presiding judge of the 333rd Civil District Court, Judge Mike Engelhart of the 151st Civil District Court, and Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Mr. Anderson received his J.D. (summa cum laude) from South Texas College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University.

A member of Bradley’s Energy Practice Group, Ms. Harrington focuses her practice on construction and energy litigation. She represents clients involved in complex business litigation disputes and appellate matters, primarily in the energy, oil and gas, and oilfield services industries. She also counsels clients on general business matters.

Prior to joining Bradley, Ms. Harrington was an attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP and with Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP. Previously, she served as a briefing attorney for Justice Ken Wise of the 14th Court of Appeals in Houston and as an intern for Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She also served as a law clerk for a Houston-based international oil company.

Ms. Harrington received her J.D. (summa cum laude) from South Texas College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from Texas A&M University.
