Longview laborer suffers finger injury at La. workover rig, lawsuit says amputation required

HOUSTON – A Longview man alleges an on the job accident last year resulted in one of his digits requiring amputation.

Dathan Pullins blames in the Nov. 6, 2017 incident on Quintana Energy Services Inc. and others in a lawsuit filed on Aug. 28 in the Harris County 215th District Court.

Pullins recalls working on snubbing operations on a workover rig in Frierson, La. when a pipe that was lifted “came down on the plaintiff’s left pinkie finger.”

Claiming the finger was cut “severely,” the plaintiff adds that he suffered complications to the wound.

Consequently, Pullins seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by J. Chad Parker and Forrest F. Mays of Tyler.
