Ranch owner files suit over runway constructed by Asphalt Maintenance, Safe Flow Utilities

Lawsuits
Contract 04

HOUSTON – A ranch owner alleges two businesses failed to construct a runway per the terms of their contract.

Michael McGrath and Rancho Sagrado LLC filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the Harris County District Court against Asphalt Maintenance Inc. and Safe Flow Utilities Inc. alleging negligence and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs contracted the defendants to construct a runway at their ranch near Pearsall. The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to construct the runway in a safe manner and failed to perform specific tasks and specifications agreed to in the contract.

The plaintiffs hold Asphalt Maintenance Inc. and Safe Flow Utilities Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to cure the defects.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which they justly entitled. They are represented by Forrest J. Wynn of Hicks Davis Wynn PC in Houston.
