HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges his employer terminated him as its CFO for conducting an investigation into alleged sexual harassment.

Recent Harris County District Court records indicate that David Paul Wride filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Production Testing Services, Inc. and Strategic Employer Services, LLC on Aug. 29 in the Harris County 125th District Court.

Previously the CFO for PTS and its liaison between the company and SES, Wride explains that he received a sexual harassment complaint in February 2016 and “promptly took it upon himself to investigate.”

“In the course of that investigation, Wride turned up rampant abuses within the company and a pattern of intimidation employed by PTS management to prevent employees from making HR complaints of any kind,” the suit says.

The defendants allegedly told the plaintiff that his job was at risk if he continued the investigation and “that he would be ‘under a microscope’ going forward.”

According to the original petition, Wride then found himself the target of a series of retaliatory acts.

“These retaliatory acts escalated into his termination a few months later,” court documents state.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Benjamin F. Foster and Doug Salisbury of the law firm Foster Salisbury PLLC in Houston.
