HOUSTON – A worker alleges he was injured on a project in Freeport when the plywood he was provided to walk on broke and caused his leg to fall through.

Rudy Reyes filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in the Harris County District Court against Freeport LG LLC, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 18, he was an employee of HB Zachry working at defendants' Freeport facility when the plywood he was walking over suddenly broke, causing his leg to fall through.

He alleges he suffered severe injuries to his person resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of consortium and loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff holds Freeport LG LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide safe walkways for workers and to institute precautionary measures to protect individuals on site.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess if the minimum jurisdictional requirements of the court and any other and further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Antonio G. Buzbee, Andrew Dao and Cornelia Brandfield-Harvey of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
