HOUSTON – A couple whose Kingwood home was damaged by Hurricane Harvey allege a contractor they hired for repairs failed to complete them.

Rich Farina and Erin Farina filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the Harris County District Court against Robert William Boarer, individually and doing business as TFC Contracting Solutions, alleging common law fraud and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in August 2017, their Kingwood property sustained serious damage due to Hurricane Harvey and they entered into a contract for the defendant to renovate their residence. They allege the defendant performed "shoddy" work and failed to pay subcontractors. They allege the defendant failed to correct the defective work and failed to complete the work.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which they may be justly entitled. They are represented by Kevin R. Michaels of Law Offices of Kevin R. Michaels in Houston.
