HOUSTON – Claiming he was assaulted at a local pizza restaurant two years ago, French national Herve-Vadim Lani has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the establishment.

Houston federal court records show that Lani initiated legal action against Soray LLC, doing business as Bollo, on Sept. 10.

Lani’s 10-page suit asserts that the restaurant manager, identified only as Ernesto, and other individuals attacked the plaintiff unprovoked inside the restaurant and outside in the parking lot.

Ernesto reportedly served his “friends and associates” an excessive amount of alcohol prior to the subject event. According to the original petition, a deadly weapon was used against Lani.

The complainant says the attack left him disfigured, stating he has had “numerous surgeries to date.”

He is represented by Patricia M. Davis of the Law Office of Patricia M. Davis in Houston.
