HOUSTON – A former tenant at a Houston property since demolished alleges that a mold infestation there caused a brain tumor.

John Connor Mulligan filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the Harris County District Court against Green Residential LLC and Green Residential Services LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 17, 2016, he first became aware that he developed a brain tumor due to toxic mold exposure at the residential property managed by defendants on Dryden Road, Houston. The suit states the mold infestation was so extensive that the building was eventually demolished.

The plaintiff holds Green Residential LLC and Green Residential Services LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition and failed to correct the condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and all other relief to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by Kiernan McAlpine of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
