HOUSTON – An employee of a Harris County warehouse alleges she was injured when her foot was ran over by a pallet jack.

Xzandra Dowd filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the Harris County District Court against Glazier Foods Co. and Gordon Food Service Inc. citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 12, she was working at defendants' warehouse in Harris County when an electric pallet jack ran over her foot, causing her injuries. She alleges she was not properly trained and/or supervised on the use of the pallet jack.

The plaintiff holds Glazier Foods Co. and Gordon Food Service Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain a safe work environment and failed to properly train her.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she is justly entitled. She is represented by Benny Agosto Jr. and Kelly M. Woods of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz in Houston.
