HOUSTON – A business specializing in cranes and lifting equipment faces an age discrimination lawsuit from an ex-employee, recent Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas records show.

Joseph Casses, Jr. filed the suit against Konecranes, Inc. on Sept. 21. According to Casses, the defendant informed him that it “intended to hire millennials to replace him (Casses) and other ‘old dogs’.”

The plaintiff, who is in his early 60s, says that Konecranes terminated him “without any explanation” and replaced him with a “substantially younger, less qualified” individual.

Consequently, Casses seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is represented by Scott Newar of Houston.
