HOUSTON – A Houston man is alleged to have failed to repay a $5,000 cash advance.

Sound Royalties LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 26 in the Harris County District Court against John Melchiorri alleging breach of contract, conversion and fraud.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff made a cash advance of $5,000 to the defendant in February. The agreement stated that the plaintiff would made a cash advance upon delivery of documents executed by the defendant related to the sale of sale of future royalty payments due from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

The plaintiff holds Melchiorri responsible because after receiving the cash advance, the defendant failed to execute the required documents and has failed or refused to repay the advance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the sum of $5,000, plus interest, costs and such other and further relief to which it is justly entitled. He is represented by John Stuart Mott and Kenneth L. Mott of Mott & Mott PLLC in McKinney.
