GALVESTON – A Dickinson concrete company alleges it was not paid for three deliveries it made to subdivisions under development.

Mainland Concrete Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 27 in the Galveston County District Court against R. Hassell Properties Inc., SSLT LLC and Royce Hassell alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was hired by R. Hassel to deliver ready-mixed concretes at projects located in three subdivisions in Galveston County. The suit states Royce Hassell guaranteed the payment

The suit states the amount of materials delivered to Marlow Lake is $178,560; Heron’s Landing is $97,423; and to Lone Trail Village is $58,904.50.

The plaintiff holds R. Hassell Properties Inc., SSLT LLC and Hassell responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay it for its work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and all other relief as plaintiff may be justly entitled. It is represented by Anthony Spaeth of Newton, Jones & Spaeth in Houston.
