Roble Contractor and Meritage Homes of Texas sued after workplace accident

HOUSTON — A worker is suing Roble Contractor and Meritage Homes of Texas, after a workplace accident left him with serious injuries.

Miguel Quintanilla filed a complaint on Oct. 1, in the Harris County District Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide a safe work environment.

The plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 26, he was at a construction site when he fell while walking along a two-by-four walkway. He suffered severe and permanent injury to his foot, as well as disfigurement, mental suffering and loss of quality of life.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate staffing, failing to properly supervise employees and failing to maintain work structures.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $200,000 but less than $1 million and other and relief to which he may be justly entitled.
