HOUSTON — An employee is suing Total Team Cos. and Total Team Construction, general contractors, for more than $1 million, alleging gross negligence in a workplace accident.

Charles Alex Campbell filed a complaint on Oct. 3, in the Harris County District Court, alleging the defendants  failed to provide a safe workplace.

Campbell alleges that on March 3, 2017, he was on the roof of an auto dealership when he allegedly was severely injured. Campbell claims he was on the rooftop to move a sign, when he allegedly injured his leg.

He claims to have been suffered pain, lost earnings and incurred medical bills.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to have safety rules and regulations in place, failing to provide tools and machinery that were working properly and safe to use, and failing to warn employees of the hazards of their job.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief totaling more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled.

He is represented by Ty A. Gibson and Brett M. Hill of Gibson Hill PC in Houston.
