HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges he was terminated after 25 years of employment by a company because of his age.

Timothy Ewert filed a complaint on Oct. 8 in the Harris County District Court against Sysco USA I Inc. alleging age discrimination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant in 1992 and was terminated at the age of 64 on Dec. 21, 2017. He alleges he was replaced by a 45-year-old individual.

The plaintiff holds Sysco USA I Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly has a pattern and practice of terminating older workers and replacing them with younger individuals.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Charles A. Sturm of Sturm Law PLLC in Houston.
