HOUSTON – A Highlands man alleges he was wrongfully denied benefits from his late wife's voluntary spouse term life insurance plan.
Martin Rodriguez, individually and as representative of the estate of Jayne Rodriguez, filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in the Harris County District Court against Principal Finance Group LLC and P & B Intermodal Services LLC seeking declaratory judgment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff received partial benefits in March 2017 from a life insurance policy Jayne Rodriguez, his late wife, had with Principal Finance Group that was purchased through plaintiff's employer, P & B Intermodal Services. The plaintiff alleges he made a timely claim to Principal Finance Group for benefits applicable to the policy limit of $100,000, but he only received a partial payment and denied the reminder.
The plaintiff seeks an order declaring that defendants' actions and omissions were negligent and award for all damages, attorney's fees, costs and expenses and such other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo of Cristobal M. Galindo PC in Houston.
