HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she fell at a Houston facility because of a slick substance on the floor.

Juanita Rojas filed a complaint on Oct. 15 in the Harris County District Court against Recana Solutions LLC and Renaissance Food Group LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by Recana Solutions to work at Renaissance Food Group. She alleges that on Aug. 6, she was injured at Renaissance Food Group when she slipped and fell on a slick substance on the floor. She alleges she sustained serious and permanent injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of earnings as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Recana Solutions LLC and Renaissance Food Group LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide personal protective equipment and failed to properly train and adequately inform her about the dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by John Arthur Daspit and Robert Morse of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
