HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges he was injured when the screws securing an attic ladder he was using failed and caused him to fall.

Tony Jacobs filed a complaint on Oct. 15 in the Harris County District Court against Long Lake LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 12, 2016, he was injured while coming down the attic ladder that was installed by the defendant at his home. The suit states the screws supporting the ladder broke off or dislodge, causing him to fall.

The plaintiff holds Long Lake LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly install and secure the ladder and failed to provide adequate warning of its dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Mark B. Levin of Stern Law Group in Bellaire.
