HOUSTON – A South Texas man has sued his employer following a bug bite he allegedly suffered while working on an-site welding job.

In a lawsuit filed on Oct. 23 in the Harris County 215th District Court, Javier Galvan blames the injury on Action Industries, Inc.

Action reportedly placed Galvan at a job site under the control of EP Energy Corp. in Big Lake, Tex. The plaintiff claims that he was putting his welding gloves on when an insect stung his left hand.

EP Energy joins Action as a co-defendant in the litigation.

Consequently, Galvan seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Mariliza V. Williams of the Nevarez Law Group, PC in Eagle Pass is representing the complainant.
