HOUSTON – A Richardson man alleges he needed surgery after jumping from a truck at a well site to avoid being injured.

Brett J. Puccio filed a complaint on Oct. 22 in the Harris County District Court against ACME Truck Line Inc., Joseph Yargo III, et al. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 26, he was working for Queil Petroleum Services Inc. at a well site in Reeves County and helping a co-worker load parts unto a flatbed truck operated by Yargo and owned by ACME.

He alleges he was on the trailer when Yargo started to drive off without warning and he was injured after jumping off the truck to avoid being injured. He alleges he sustained severe injuries to his knee and leg that required extensive reconstructive surgical procedures.

The plaintiff holds ACME Truck Line Inc., Yargo III, et al. responsible because defendant Yargo was allegedly unskilled and untrained to perform the job at the well site.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, with interest, costs and all further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Andrew Sher of The Sher Law Firm PLLC in Houston and by Tom Stilwell of Stilwell Law Firm in Houston.
