Star Furniture alleged to owe nearly $20,000 to truck rental company

GALVESTON – A Miami, Florida truck rental company alleges a Texas business failed to pay nearly $20,000 owed under their agreements.

Ryder Truck Rental Inc., doing business as Ryder Transportation Services, filed a complaint on Oct. 24 in the Galveston County District Court against Star Furniture Co. alleging breach of lease contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff entered into a Ryder SelectCare Preventative Maintenance Agreement with the defendant in February and other truck rental agreements throughout 2018.

The plaintiff holds Star Furniture Co. responsible because despite demand for payments, the defendant allegedly refused and continues to refuse to pay the amount owed pursuant to the agreement. The plaintiff alleges it is owed $20,343.28.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of less than $50,000 and such other and further relief to which it may be justly entitled. It is represented by Don M. Barnett, Matias Eduardo Garcia, Sean S.V.
