HOUSTON – A local man is pursuing legal action after a large ceiling tile allegedly fell on him at The Galleria last year.

Walter McLellan’s lawsuit, which was filed on Oct. 31 in the Harris County 125th District Court, lays responsibility for the Apr. 29, 2017 incident on Simon Property Group (Texas) and HG Galleria I, II, III, GP, LP.

McLellan alleges that the tile struck him in the head while he was sitting in the food court.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is represented by Leigh S. Montgomery of the law firm Husain Law + Associates, P.C. in Houston.
