Woman alleges sidewalk at Pasadena property caused fall

Lawsuits

HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was injured at a Pasadena property because of the condition of the sidewalk.

Barbara Hyder filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the Harris County District Court against Walnut Hill Owners Association Inc. alleging breach of the duty of care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 1, 2016, she was an invitee at the property controlled by defendant and was caused to fall due to an uneven and dangerous sidewalk. She alleges she sustained serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering and mental anguish.

The plaintiff holds Walnut Hill Owners Association Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make the dangerous condition safe and failed to provide adequate warning of the existing danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000. She is represented by Ryan M. Snider of Law Office of Ryan Snider in Friendswood.
