Bus rollover results in litigation

Car accident 07

HOUSTON – A bus accident last month is the subject of a Harris County man’s lawsuit.

Galen Stevens blames the Oct. 23 incident on Zachry, according to court papers filed on Nov. 5 in the Harris County 55th District Court.

The plaintiff recalls riding the bus reportedly owned and operated by the defendant after the conclusion of his work shift when the vehicle “lost control and overturned” on the ramp of Highways 288 and 36 in Brazoria County.

The suit claims that the bus “rolled several times down an embankment before it finally came to rest.” Steven sustained severe injuries, the original petition says.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by The Lanier Law Firm, P.C. in Houston.
