Jiffy Lube customer files suit over alleged injuries after falling in automotive service pit

Lawsuits

HOUSTON – A customer is seeking damages from an automotive shop after she fell into the open automotive service pit.

Brandi Loggins filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in the Harris County District Court against Allied Lube Texas LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 30, she was an invitee at defendant's Jiffy Lube in Houston and was asked by a technician to help open her trunk while her car was being worked on. She alleges she fell into the open automotive service pit and sustained serious injuries to her neck, back and right shoulder.

The plaintiff holds Allied Lube Texas LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect its premises to discover the dangerous condition, failed to make the dangerous condition safe and failed to give adequate warning about it.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of no more than $100,000 and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Charles L. H. Staub and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
