Lawsuits

HOUSTON – A Harris County resident is seeking damages from a company after he fell from a ladder.

Jesus Romero filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in the Harris County District Court against Texas Professional Claims and Construction LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 21, he was performing work at a home site as arranged by the defendant when he fell from a ladder. He alleges he sustained serious injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, emotional distress and loss of enjoyment of life as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Texas Professional Claims and Construction LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to conduct necessary safety inspections to apprise itself of any safety issues and failed to require and provide and maintained work area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by J. Moises Cedillos of Cedillos Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
