HOUSTON – An Ector County man alleges he was injured at a job site because of an unsafe working environment.

Gerardo Luna filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the Harris County District Court against Oxy Permian Gathering LLC and Occidental Permian LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 9, he was working at defendants' worksite in Pyote and his right leg was injured by a bleed off line that struck him.

The plaintiff holds Oxy Permian Gathering LLC and Occidental Permian LTD responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide a safe work environment, failed to provide necessary safety training and failed to provide proper safety equipment.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Clay Miller and Robert Wolf of Miller Weisbrod LLP in Dallas.
