HOUSTON – A woman alleges she was injured at a Pasadena grocery store because of liquid on the floor.

Maria Villarreal filed a complaint on Nov. 26 in the Harris County District Court against El Ahorro Supermarket LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 4, 2017, she was shopping at defendant's El Ahorro Supermarket when she slipped and fell, bending her entire body and hurting her knees.

The plaintiff holds El Ahorro Supermarket LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly inspect and maintain the flooring and failed to remove the liquid that caused her to fall.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less. She is represented by Sameh Aly of Aly & Associates PLLC in Houston and Woodrow Brown, also of Houston.
